On July 18th, 2013 Detroiters of all ethnicity, age, race, and sex came together and built a message of hope and strength. Detroiters past, present and in spirit left their mark and continue to impact our city. Detroit is US. We are the city, the Great American City, and no matter the struggles we face we push on. The 18th is a day we will never forget and let this mural be a reminder that we are the city’s future, we are it’s hope, it’s passion, it’s power, and when we work together incredible things will happen.
This was a community art project designed by Mike Han of Street Culture Mash utilizing Plutonium Paint, an American made Detroit brand for the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy and Riviere 28’s Soiree on the Greenway on the Dequindre Cut.
